Michael Turner
Hi, my name is Michael Turner, and I am one of the writers here at The Offside, joining the crew for the A-League, more specifically Sydney FC. I am an avid supported of the new Western Sydney A-League bid, but right now clearly focused of Sydney FC. I’m only 15, but that shouldn’t matter to you, as I do have the footballing knowledge and expertise that gained my refereeing duties (game knowledge) and prior writing jobs at Soccerlens.com.
If you want to spot me at any sporting match, you’ll see me kitted out in the finest sporting gear, as well as sledging either the opposition coach, rival defender or the tall guy with extremely tall hair who just happens to be in front of me. I don;t just stop at soccer/football, I love all sport, and for anyone who knows the Australian sporting scene, I am into rugby league, with the Parramatta Eels being my team. In the time of writing I had just returned from the legendary Eels Bulldogs clash, and will be going to the NRL Grand Finals next week.
Back onto Soccer however, I played last season for my local Carlingford United FC club, however I have plans to play for Pacific Hills Dural Pumas next season, and for the record I am the mighty goalkeeper. When I referee you however, just a warning, I am quite well aquatinted to the evil custom of unleashing the red and yellow cards.
Outside of sport, I am an avid gamer. I revel at the opportunity to defeat a guy from Japan in PES 2009, or even FIFA. One of the games I play quite ofter is Football Manager 2010. I write about FM on FMHeaven, a website dedicated to the ‘heavenly’ art of Football Manager. If you have read this far into my bio, you are obviously interested in me. When I play games, I always use the screen-name or username m_turner94. Find me on Steam. That is also the name I use of forums. If you wish to contact me, you can find me on m_turner94@live.com.au. Please email me only if you have a suggestion relating to this blog, or something extremely interesting you believe I might find interesting. So for now enjoy my Sydney FC blog!
